Lesson Overview
About this worksheet
Causative verbs show that someone causes another person to do something rather than doing it themselves. This worksheet teaches the four common causatives – make, have, get, and let – and the verb form that follows each (the base verb after make, have, and let; ‘to’ plus a verb after get).
The reference box and Section A are on page 1. The reference box explains each causative with examples. Section A has eight items mixing the correct causative verb and the correct following form. Section B on page 2 has four short-response questions.
Page 3 is a complete answer key with the answer for every item and sample responses. The worksheet pairs well with the Helping Verbs and Modal Verbs worksheets.
