What is in this week
Scientific Notation — converting, comparing and multiplying in scientific notation. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Write each number in standard form.
- Tuesday — Write each number in scientific notation.
- Wednesday — Which is larger? Write A or B.
- Thursday — Multiply, leaving each answer in scientific notation.
- Friday — Simplify, leaving each answer as a power.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 1, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
