What is in this week
Verbals — gerunds, participles and infinitives, and the jobs they do. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Gerund, participle, or infinitive? Write one word.
- Tuesday — Gerund, participle, or infinitive? Write one word.
- Wednesday — What job does the verbal do? Noun, adjective, or adverb?
- Thursday — Write the verbal phrase from each sentence.
- Friday — Verbal or main verb? Write two words or one.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday is a cumulative check on the same focus. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
