Surface Area and Volume of Prisms — prisms and cubes, and working back to a missing dimension. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Find the volume of each triangular prism.
- Tuesday — Find the volume of each cube.
- Wednesday — Find the surface area of each cube.
- Thursday — Find each volume from the base area.
- Friday — Find each new perimeter.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 9, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
