What is in this week

Verb Tense Consistency — keeping time steady, and shifting it on purpose. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.

  • Monday — Choose the verb that keeps the tense consistent.
  • Tuesday — Shift or consistent? Write one word.
  • Wednesday — Rewrite each sentence in the past tense.
  • Thursday — Name the tense: past, present, or future.
  • Friday — Why is the mark used? Write join, list, or explain.

How to use it

Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 3, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
