- Monday — Rewrite so the sentence does not open with the subject.
- Tuesday — Simple, compound or complex? Write one word.
- Wednesday — Combine into one better sentence.
- Thursday — Which sentence opener is used?
- Friday — Synonym or antonym? Write one word.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 10, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
