Five short warm-ups for 6th grade Math: finding, and choosing between, the GCF and the LCM. 20 items with a full answer key — one focused task a day, five to ten minutes at the start of the lesson.
What is in this week
Greatest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple — finding, and choosing between, the GCF and the LCM. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Find the GCF of each pair.
- Tuesday — Find the LCM of each pair.
- Wednesday — Rewrite each sum using the GCF.
- Thursday — Solve each problem.
- Friday — Find the perimeter of each rectangle.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 8, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
