Multiple-Meaning Words — the same word doing a different job. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Write the meaning used.
- Tuesday — Write the meaning used.
- Wednesday — Write a sentence using the other meaning.
- Thursday — Write the meaning used.
- Friday — Write the interjection.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 9, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
