What is in this week
Fixing Run-On Sentences — where one sentence should have ended. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Rewrite each run-on as two sentences.
- Tuesday — Rewrite each run-on using a comma and a joining word.
- Wednesday — Write C for a correct sentence or R for a run-on.
- Thursday — Rewrite each run-on as two sentences.
- Friday — Write how, when or where for the adverb in capital letters.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 5, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
