What is in this week

Pronouns — the words that stand in for a name. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.

  • Monday — Write the pronoun that finishes each sentence.
  • Tuesday — Write the noun the pronoun in capital letters stands for.
  • Wednesday — Write the pronoun that finishes each sentence.
  • Thursday — Write the possessive word that finishes each sentence.
  • Friday — Write the past tense of the verb in capital letters.

How to use it

Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday returns to week 2, so a Friday dip points at the earlier skill rather than this week’s. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
