Subject and Predicate — the two halves every sentence splits into. Every day is one focused task, four items, with the rule printed at the top of the page.
- Monday — Write the complete subject of each sentence.
- Tuesday — Write the complete predicate of each sentence.
- Wednesday — Write the simple subject of each sentence.
- Thursday — Write the simple predicate of each sentence.
- Friday — Write the complete subject of each sentence.
How to use it
Print the packet once and hand out one page a day, or project it. Students can start before the lesson begins because the rule they need is on the page. Friday is a cumulative check on the same focus. Mark them together on the board; these are a warm-up, not something to collect.
