WRITING WITH YOUR SENSES WORKSHEET LESSON
Directions:
Print the Writing With Your Senses writing skills reading passage and questions (see
below).
Students should read the lesson together and answer the questions within the story. Once the lesson has been read students can write a story using the writing skills presented in the lesson and draw a picture corresponding to the story. For beginning readers,
teachers or parents may read the story along with the students, and help
them answer the questions.

When you write a story, make it better by using your 5 senses.
What are your 5 senses?
- You can HEAR
- You can SEE
- You can TOUCH
- You can TASTE
- You can SMELL
Read these two stories. Which one uses the senses?
1. Max was hungry. He wanted to eat. He wanted dinner right now.
2. Max smelled ham cooking. His belly growled. He heard his mom say, "Dinner time!"
