CATEGORIES WORD GAME LESSON PLAN

 

Materials

  • Make It, Play It - Categories - Printable lesson plan.

  • A piece of paper or card measuring 24cm X 24cm
  • 20 pieces of card measuring approximately 6cm X 8cm
  • A Ruler
  • Pens
  • A dice
  • Digital timer (one used for cooking is fine)
  • Paper for writing lists


Excerpt from Lesson:

Make it

  1. Divide the paper up into 36 squares. To do this, measure along each edge making a small mark every 4cm. Join the marks at the top to the marks at the bottom of the page with a ruler. Next, join the marks on the left side to the marks on the right with a ruler. You should now have a grid of 36 squares.
  1. Write a letter in the center of each square, using only the following letters (you will need to write each one twice). ABCDEFGHLMNOPRSTVW. You can use different colors to make it look attractive.
